I am really loving this series.

This is the second Omnibus about Miles Vorkosigan, the first, Cordelia's Honor, is actually about his parents: how they got together, what they're like, and how they survive intrigue on Barrayar and end up in the positions they are in.

This Omnibus is about Miles - the first book is before Miles goes to the Academy and starts his official military career, the second is about how he is not exactly a good officer, but is rife with adventures and how his personality is shaping and how he uses his talents to his (and his Emperor/Empire's) advantage.
