I love mustelid haberdashery, vinho verde wine, and wensleydale with fruit.

The Walking Dead, Vol. 17: Something to Fear - Robert Kirkman

In which we meet Negan, our new bad baddie.  I think he's supposed to be shades of grey (a guy doing HORRIBLE things to keep people safe, but I think it's more like a sociopath being allowed to do things in the name of keeping people safe, ergo legitimizing his torture-porn and irritatingly terrible language).

Basically, everyone is cooling their heels, still, in the Alexandria safe neighborhood (it took me a while to remember what was going on since it's been a while since I've read these).  I'm not real happy with Maggie being pregnant, because nothing brings down a series like having to haul around a baby.  Maybe they'll keep it in the attic so we only have to deal with him/her/it when it's grown larger.

Carl is still a creepy creepster, and OMG, I can't believe they finally got around to killing off a main character again.

The group is quasi-split, with several people at the Hilltop area, and we have to figure out what to do with Negan/the Saviors.

Pretty solid, glad to be reading this series again.
